CVYF Girls Flag Football
New in 2025, CVYF will be implementing youth girls flag football. It will follow the same rules and guidelines as other CVYF flag leagues. If we are unable to field enough teams to have the league operate, we will offer 100% full refunds to parents OR parents have the option to have their players play in our traditional flag leagues per years past.
We're aiming to have a 2nd-3rd grade league, 4th-5th grade league, and a 6th-8th grade league. Leagues will be dependent on the number of participates.
Overview
- We, as an organization, stress the fundamentals and safety of the sport while encouraging players to become good citizens through positive adult leadership.
- Players will be split evenly onto teams after practices have begun.
- Teams are under the leadership of the head coach and coaching staff. The coaching staff will communicate out expectations as well as dates and times for practices, games, etc.
- CVYF coaches are certified through USA Football to ensure they are up to date on the latest techniques, rules, and safety practices.

Work Shifts
Our league is operated by volunteers whom love the sport and want to provide an opportunity to our youth. In order to ensure we can continue successfully operate while keeping our registration fees down we ask that each player's parents/guardians contribute through completing work shifts.
These shifts are activities that we need extra help with and range from concessions to field maintenance.
We require 1 shift per player for flag football of which can be opted out of at $50 per shift ahead of the season. Parents/guardians who coach or are team parents are excluded for that season from the required work shifts.

Reminder to all parents/guardians that for flag football each player's parent/guardian is required to work one work shift. We are a volunteer based organization and in order to help maintain the lowest registration fees possible we need everyone's help. You have the option to opt out of the work shift by a paying $50 fee. The general work shifts we have available are helping in the concession stand during games and aiding with field/building maintenance on Wednesdays. If you serve as a coach, team parent or league officer you are exempt from this requirement.
